From Cyril Mbah, Abuja. The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday appointed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as Chairman of the Ondo Primary Election Committee to organize it’s primary election on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Ododo, who was absent at the inauguration ceremony was represented by his deputy who apologised for the governor, saying security challenges prevented the governor from traveling out of Kogi to be present at the Inaugural ceremony. The seven-man committee, which has members drawn from across the country was charged by the National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to conduct credible, free and fair primary election for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to pick a sound candidate to fly the party’s flag at the Ondo Governorship Election in November. Ganduje said although there is no perfect election, the committee should try and produce a candidate thY will be acceptable to the majority of party members.
