Nas and DJ Premier reunite for their latest collaborative effort, “Define My Name.”

Clocking in at approximately three minutes, the bass-heavy track hears Nas look back at his legacy and the weight of his name — rightfully so as one of hip-hop’s most influential voices. The release of “Define My Name” also comes with the exciting announcement that the pair will be releasing their landmark collaborative album later this year, although details are yet to be revealed.

“Define My Name” arrives as Nas’ debut studio album, Illmatic, celebrates its 30th anniversary. Earlier this week, the artist took to Instagram to share a pair of behind-the-scenes photos to commemorate the record. “I had a dream I could get my favorite producers to produce on my debut album. I knew exactly what I wanted and how it should be. But I didn’t know anyone except for Paul, so I asked him would he connect me to them all. The cool soul brother that he is helped me line it up. On April 19th we smashed shit,” he wrote.
